I Am Enough

This may only be a problem with MoMs, but sometimes I wonder if I’m not as closely bonded to my bambinos as parents of a singleton are. I know I’m a great mom and I love my children to death –I would literally die for them, but I wonder if as much love as I have for them is still not as much as parents of singletons have for their one.

I see pictures of parents (ok mostly moms) whose life revolves around their one child. They do absolutely everything with that one child, they snuggle only that one child, they rock only that one child, they read  to only that one child, they sing to only that one child, they do crafts with only that one child and I’ve never been able to do that. I’ve always had two babies to split my time.

But then I realize I put myself into the Enough Trap. I’m not bonded enough, I’m not pretty enough, I’m not strong enough, I’m not healthy enough, I’m not domestic enough, I’m not clean enough, I’m not crafty enough, I’m not mom enough, I'm not bonded enough.

Stop, just stop.

I am enough.

My babies are healthy, happy and loved.

I am enough.

  1. I had 2 singletons first, then my b/g twins. When I had the twins I was SO scared that I couldn't possibly divide my love anymore than I had between my two singles. But alas! I DID!! Being a twin momma is SO different than having "just two" singles! But your love is SO "ENOUGH" ... It's amazing how much love you can have for these little things!!

  2. I am also a MoM, my boys are 3 years old. Daily I wonder if I am doing it right. I don't know any other MoMs in real life and so can't just sit down and talk to them. It's tough but I do the best can. I think we all do.

    1. My b/g twins are 4. Is there a local twins group near you that you could hook up with? I've made some amazing MoM friends and gained so much wisdom from my twin group!! What state are you in?

  6. You are more than enough for them! If it makes you feel any better, I wondered when I was pregnant with #2 if I could love a new baby as much as my first...I did and I do! I love them equally and hope I show that to the both of them!
