I've made no secret that our house is really small. Our bedroom is part of an addition built in the 1970s, with a half-bath separated only by an IKEA curtain.
One day, I couldn't find Bug. With a house being so small, it's not easy to lose a child in it. After walking through the whole house, I finally decided that maybe he was in our bedroom after all.
B was in the bathroom doing his business and if I need to go in the bedroom at all I make it a point not to look into the bathroom at all. That's just...
There was a tiny crack in the curtain and out of the side of my eye I noticed the back of a tiny brown head a lot higher than he should be.
"Is he standing on you?" I asked.
"Yep!" B happily replied.
And I burst out laughing.
Apparently, it's Bug's thing to stand on B's leg and play with the sink or other things on the counter while B's in the bathroom.
And I was wondering how he was smart enough to do this to me a few days before.
