House Partay!

Thanks for your sweet comments about my post yesterday. I guess my whole point was, I knew my body would change, but I wasn't prepared to feel that way about it after pregnancy.

Anyway....

One of my favorite things about fall is warm drinks.

My very favorite is apple cider with a little Captain Morgan - it tastes like a caramel apple.

So you know when I saw that an upcoming House Party was a Keurig one I hopped on that application.

I've been wanting a Keurig for-ev-ver so I was thrilled to find out I was accepted!

I don't like coffee but that's ok, along with my coffee maker I was sent a few variety packs of coffee which also included tea.

And the day after I received the Keurig I went to my favorite Tar-jay and bought the apple cider and hot chocolate K-cups.

My new second-favorite drink is now hot chocolate with pumpkin creamer - it's so good!

One of the conditions of my house party is that I have to throw a party at my house (imagine that!) so I jumped at the chance to invite a few of my fave girls to enjoy some fall stuff!

Pumpkin macrons from Trader Joe's, biscotti, pumpkin spice muffins, cheese and coffee of course!
My step-mom and one friend had some things they had to do later so they showed up a little early and only stayed through part of the party, but I hadn't seen either of them in awhile so I was glad they were able to come at all.
Have you ever noticed that when one person drinks, the ones around them do too? This picture was unplanned - I swear!

This series of pictures cracks me up. Bug climbed on the chair and stole a macron for the 2nd time. As we were laughing at him, he put it back! I think he's got a sweet tooth like Mama.

His little scrunchy face of joy is the best!

Peanut climbed on the same chair and didn't even try to steal any sweets. He did keep pretending he was going to drink my hot chocolate though :)

Two of my many cousins came and I was so thrilled I got to see them and Baby Si. The Bambinos had a ton of fun playing with Si and were a lot more gentle with him than I thought they would be.

I wish I had a little more time I would have thrown a more "home-made" party and put more effort into the decorations, but I've just been so busy lately. I'll definitely apply to more House Parties in the future though.

After the Party was over, we rushed to get ready for a Halloween party. Look out for our costumes tomorrow!

  1. Cute, Cute, Cute. I am thinking about getting a Keurig too - but not sure how it would be making one cup by one with all the coffee I drink?

  2. You got a Keurig for throwing the party? Awesome! I've never invested in one b/c I never drink just one cup. ;) But it would be so convenient, especially for afternoons when I need a little burst of something. ha.
