Baby Talk

First of all, can I just say thank you from the very bottom of my heart to those of you who have reached out and told me you've voted for us in the Epic Room Makeover contest. It means so much to me that you guys take a minute out of your day to vote for us in a contest I so badly want to win.I  feel the sense of community in blogging that so many bigger bloggers always talk about and I absolutely love it. Thank you so so much. If you'd still like to vote, you can vote once per day per IP address so you can vote from multiple devices or from different computers....most of the time. We're entry #23 :)

Let's talk babies. I'm linking up with From Mrs to Mama again to talk about my favorite thing ever.

1. Tell us your favorite baby names? Aside from your own babies, if you have some :)
 Let me tell you, Boy names were hard for us. I liked the name Jayden before everyone started naming their kids that, I think I liked it before even Will and Jada had theirs. Then I liked Aiden, and Jackson which are also really popular. I suggested Braydon and Brysen to boyfriend, obviously, he wasn't having any of those.

We agreed on one girl name right away - Olivia. I was trying to get him to come to my side with another girl name I've liked since I was 7 but we ended up having two boys so he was off the hook. And now, I think Olivia is a gorgeous name, but we know too many little Olivias. For us, I strongly believe in keeping the name secret until birth because it's so much fun to have the family be surprised. I tried to keep the sexes secret but that lasted about three days after our ultrasound.

2. Show me your "dream" nursery {can be your baby's nursery or one that you love}
This ones hard. There's so many cool nurseries out there. I'm working on our nursery still. I want to love it, it just doesn't have a lot of personality yet. Hopefully soon.  I get a lot of inspiration from Design Dazzle. If we had unlimited budget and unlimited space, my Bambinos would have an awesome room!

This isn't a nursery, but I love this room. Picture a crib instead of a bed, ok?
3. How many children would you like to have? How far apart?
I'd love three. Maybe a 4th. I'm kind of starting to think within the next year would be a good time to get pregnant again but because it is possible that I might have another set of twins (I don't feel like I'll have twins again, if that makes sense) we're probably waiting a little longer than if I were only to have a singleton. Four kids still in diapers just doesn't sound fun. But, like I said, I don't feel like I'll have twins again, I also feel like this next one's a girl so we'll so how well I predict.

4. Tell us what you think the importance of parenting is?
Well, the short answer would be to not f--k them up. But really, parenting means to raise responsible citizens of the world. What does this mean? To me, it means that my kids will be responsible, respectful, and loving. They will respect not only people, but also animals, the earth, and everything else. They'll take responsibility for their actions and know that everything that happens starts with them. How things turn out depend on the choices they make. They'll love freely and openly and not judge others. They'll treat everyone and everything how they would want to be treated.

5. Show us your favorite newborn photo {can be your children or random}
 6.  Tell us some things you promise to never do as a parent {and if you are a parent, did you stick to it} I didn't want them to watch TV until the age of 2. I've mostly stuck to this. I don't use it as a babysitter, but occasionally, when one is extra clingy or they're sick we'll cuddle on the couch and watch Bubble Guppies. B and I talked about not giving them toys with batteries so they could have more open play and use their imagination and we haven't stuck to this at all. We're careful with the types of toys with batteries they do get. There's not a ton I said I wouldn't do at this age, most of the things I don't want to do are more relevant when they're older so we'll see how I do then. I wrote a little about my parenting style in this post.

I've got some posts lined up about some of this a little more in depth, but in the meantime, I'm linking up here

And since we're on the subject of babies, can someone explain to me how mine are now 20 months old?!

I'd love your vote! We're #23
