Birthday Wreath Tutorial

Tired of the birthday talk yet? I promised a few people I'd show a tutorial of the wreath I made for the party Saturday so here goes.

It's super easy.

Buy a metal wreath form. Our craft store only carried ones with stuff already on them so I bought a discounted Christmas one and tore all the stuff off at home.

Make sure you have a lot of balloons. A lot a lot. I used at least three bags of 72 then I bought a few bags of individual colors I was running out of. Truth be told, I have a lot of balloons left over because I didn't want to use certain colors that were included in the bags.
I started with the outer (the biggest) ring
This is the back of the wreath, but it's the easiest way to see how I tied them
Start tying the balloons around the wreath. It took me a bit to find my groove so I like one side of the wreath better than the other but it works. I tied them on around the middle point of the balloon so you could see the end of some of the balloons too.

The outer ring finished.
Once I finished the outer ring of the wreath, I moved on to the inner ring. B and my sister thought it was full enough and I didn't need to but my OCD self did it anyway. I couldn't tell too much of a difference, but I do think it looks a bit fuller when both rings are filled.

Voila! This was a super easy and super cute addition to the party. I did it throughout the week while watching TV. Unlike everything else I did for the party, this was easy to pick up and put down whenever I had time.
