I Hope I Don't Kill 'Em

My flowers that is!
Sunday was the nicest day Seattle has had in a loooong time
so I planted geraniums, pansies, and calla lilies

There's only one small problem

I'm undomestic.
I kill everything.

A few years ago I picked up the one plant that's supposed to be indestructable
I didn't even really want bamboo, I just wanted to grow something
And keep it alive

Fast forward a few months later
my luscious green bamboo was half yellow-brown, half green
it was half dead.

How I ended up killing the part that actually sucks up the water
and keeping the top of the plant alive is beyond me
I'm special like that.

Sunday when I went to Lowe's for flowers,
I picked some that are supposed to be hardy and low maintenance
I hope I don't kill 'em!

  2. ya know that if you get a 'guaranteed' plant at home depot or lowes and it dies - you can get your money back!

  3. Well I hope you don't either. Flowers sure can brighten a day. Heck, even a mood. Good luck lady cakes.

  4. Good luck with that. You should grow chives. They live on their own and regrow on their own. I planted a pot of chives in Virginia in the spring of 2007. I last watered it on my own in the spring of 2007. Thanks to rain and the lovelyness of the chive... they come back every year... bigger and better! And they are TASTY on a baked potato!!!! YUM! I promise! You won't kill chives! Plus... I started mine as seeds and they didn't die! AWESOME!!!!

  5. Good luck with your plants!! You sound like me. I don't have much of a "green thumb" but I planted a few flowers two weekends ago. So far they are holding up great!

I'd love to hear what you have to say, I always ALWAYS write back so please make sure you have an email attached to your profile :)
