Ta Da!

I was a bag of Jelly Bellys! I got third place in our costume contest (yay free money!)

Peanut Petunia got first!

Here's all of our winners. Lester (on the left) went as another coworker, Bruce, and Bruce went as Lester. Maynard (on my left) was the fallopian swim team. And our GM (in the front) was...I forgot who he was.

Happy Halloween!

Tease

Any guesses what I'm going to be for Halloween? All I know is, I'm going to beat Boyfriend in the costume contest!

Holloweenie

Have I mentioned that I LOVEEEE Halloween? I seriously can't decide whether or not I love Halloween or Christmas more. Unfortunately, this is the extent of my Halloween decorating this year

The beginning of our photo wall in our stairway. We used Halloween pinups!

Love the old Dracula picture!

Everything looks so much better lit up, but without the flash, they come out blurry :(

The spiderweb is a little cheesy, yes, but it turned out better than I expected. Tomorrow I get to make pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin brownies, carve pumpkins and get the pieces ready for my costume. Can't wait!

Now THAT'S a Good Roomate!

This was Roomate the other night

Can you see her in there? Yes, that's her tiny little hand IN my closet! Our piece of crap doors always come off the track and she took the bull by the horns and fixed them! She was in my closet for close to half an hour!

When we moved in together, all we really knew about eachother is that we liked chit-chatting at work. We took a huge gamble, we're complete opposites in so many ways. I'm more of a social butterfly, she likes her time alone. I'm more stoic and don't show a lot of emotion, she's wild and crazy and out there. I'm a little messier, she's very clean. Even with all the oppsites, she's one of the easiest people I've ever lived with and I'm so happy it's working out.....plus, who else would go IN somebody's tornado of a closet?! She's a keeper!

Vintage Black Friday 4!

Happy Vintage Black Friday! Today I have to share with you something I don't own.... yet.

I found this darling pram at Goodwill today. (Please excuse the pictures that are worse then mine normally are, I had to take these with my phone.) I haven't bought it yet but am seriously considering it. At first, I was thinking $50 is too much for it, and I SERIOUSLY don't have the room for it. But then I realized red tags are 50% off through Sunday - and it has a red tag! So now my only problem is that I have absolutely no place to put it.

Now I'm off to see what everyone else has to share :)

Wish List Party

Today I'm, joining in Vintage Junky's Wish List Party! Thre's so many things I want!!

First, I want  a house. maybe not this exact house, but I want something with a yard (front and back) as well as a wrap around porch.

In my house I want a library. I nice, big, cozy library filled with books (I still haven't given away the childhood classics like Goodnight Moon or Where the wild Things Are because someday I will have a library) A fireplace to read the books near would be a bonus!

I also want a dressing room. I want someplace to do my make up and get ready. Someplace nice and girly, this will be the antithesis of a "man cave"

In the back yard, I want a fountain. I love the sound of running water and would love to have a relaxing place to sit in teh back yard where I can listen to the running water all day.

I want to adopt a Chinese baby girl. A few years ago, I saw Lisa Ling on Oprah talking about how she went undercover to a Chinese Orphanage after watching that, I KNEW I would adopt one of my own someday.

I want a ring much like this one
And because pink doesn't match everything, I'd like a regular diamond like this one too. But of course, I will be careful about where my diamonds come from. No blood diamonds for me!

I want a boat. Boyfriend and I are going to the boatshow this year so we can look into maybe getting one in time for next summer! I love just coasting on the rolling waves. I could sit out there for hours

I want these boots. I've been coveting them since August.

I want a pink Vespa. I've been dying to ride one someday but Boyfriend wants me to go straight to a motorcycle like him. I got him to finally agree to ride Vespas in Orcas this summer ('casue he wouldn't run into anyone he knows) but we didn't have any time! Next summer for sure...

Last but not least, I want a French Bulldog puppy. They're so ugly they're cute with their big ol' ears!

Not What I Thought

It's funny how something ends up in a way not that you expected but so right the way it ended up. I bought a wall decal to go over my bed:

I just love the saying, but upon taping it over my bed, I realized it isn't big enough for the space. I asked Roomate what she thought about putting it over my TV in my new "entertainment center" ( I moved my bookshelf next to my newly painted IKEA dresser.) Instantly, we both said, "Yes!"

We got to work and I LOOOOOVE the result! I don't think a picture would have looked right in the space but the decal is perfect!

I'm still on a search for the perfect thing above my bed though!

Market Ghost Tour

Just got back from such a fun night! B and I went to an exclusive preview of the Bodies Exhibit. If you don't know what Bodies is, it's awesome! This group of people took Chinese bodies that people donated and preserved them some special way so that the public can view the bodies. There's muscles, veins, artieries, different organs, babies at different lengths of time in the womb, etc. It's seriously such a cool exhibit. Tonight didn't have the full exhibit available so we'd like to get tickets to the whole show once it starts in Seattle.

Then Bodies thing was totally last minute so after we were done there, we walked down to Pike Place Market for the Ghost Tour in the POURING rain. We were soaked.

The Ghost Tour takes you around different areas near Pike Place while the guide tells stories and legends. She gives us multiple opportunities to take pictures of "orbs" and I lucked out and got some!

The tour starts at the Gum Wall, this big nasty wall people stick their gum to.

This interactive sculpture is made on Native American Lay (?) Lines. You're supposed to rub your hands on these crystals near the bottom then put your hands around the sculpture to see if you feel any energy. Nobody on the tour felt anything :(

An alley by a bar called Kell's. This used to be the site of the first mortuary. Can you see the orbs? There's two round circles near the very top of the picture. One's easier to see than the other. The other small dots are just rain. I got orbs before anybody else in our group did!

Then we went to the front of the building where...I don't remember what happened here except three or four restaurants in this building closed down due to hauntings. Supposedly orbs are always seen here, and sometimes a green orb which is a lady in a green dress who haunts the place!

See anything? Me neither.

See anything yet? In the previous picture, our guide was calling the orbs to come out which she says always leads to people getting pictures of them. None in this picture either, maybe it's payback for me getting orbs so quickly by the old mortuary?

How 'bout this angle? Wait a minute! There's a small one toward the bottom of the door on the right. I didn't know this until I got home though so I threw a mini fit onsite. I even stomped my foot because everybody else got one, and one girl got the green lady! B made fun of me for throwing a fit.

The tour concluded in front of Pike Place just when it was starting to pour again. It was a fun way to learn a little Seattle history, but the best part was when B said he's in radio, our guide totally recognized him! She listens to one of his shows!

This was such a fun night I'd been looking forward to for awhile and even the rain didn't spoil my fun, luckily B's a good sport too!
